WINTER NEWSLETTER
23rd May, 2010
Dear Parents,
We will remain open throughout the winter, and during the school holidays. I'm delighted to let you know that Noreen is now a qualified Swimming Teacher, having successfully completed Swimming South Africa's LTS Teacher's course and examinations. Congratulations, Noreen, you've done very well!!
Fees will be as follows, from 1st July. Note that this is our annual increase, there will be no increase in January.
Twice Weekly R305 per month
Once Weekly R180 per month
Saturday - R220 per month
Private Lessons - R110 each
Schools, Twice Weekly - R345 per month.
Schools, Once Weekly - R210 per month
During the winter school holidays I'm offering extra lessons, if you want to accelerate your child's progress during this time. Such lessons will cost R40 each, in addition to your regular lesson fee. You will need to book and pay in advance. You can book for any time we have space available.
We are gradually introducing new certificates for swimmers age 3 upwards, who are not on the Infant & Toddler programme, as we use up our current stock. These new certificates are based on the system used by the Amateur Swimming Association in the UK, and better reflect our teaching. We will continue to use the PBSTA Certificate and stickers for Infant and Toddler swimmers. Remember that the certificates and stickers are performance based, so your child may not necessarily receive one each time.
I will not be accepting payment in R200 notes for the time being, as the current ones cease to be legal tender at the end of May.
When paying by EFT, please ensure that the beneficiary reference reflects the name/s of the swimmer, so that your payment can be correctly allocated. A number of parents are putting the Swim School's name in this section, and we can't record your payment if we don't know whose it is!
Cash deposits at the bank are quite expensive for me to accept. If you cannot do an eft, please only use this method of payment if you are not going to be coming in to the Swim School.
I will soon need a lady driver to take some of the children back to their creche after swimming on Mondays and Wednesday mornings, between 9.30 and approximately 11.30am. At the moment you will need your own suitable vehicle, though I intend to purchase a second car soon. You will also need to apply for a PDP. Should anyone be interested in training to become a swimming teacher, please let me know.
Thank you, as always, for your support, have a happy and healthy winter.
Very best wishes,
Irena
